Apparel exports from Turkey amounted to US$ 1.54 billion during the month of April 2014, registering a rise of 17.7 percent, compared to the same month in 2013, as per the data released by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM).
According to the April 2014 Export Data of TIM, Turkey exported clothing worth $1.54 billion during the month of April, compared to the $1.31 billion worth of apparel exported during the same month last year.
Apparel exports from Turkey during the month of April accounted for 11.8 percent of the overall exports made from the country during the month.
In March 2014, the country exported clothing worth $1.6 billion recording a rise of 6.3 percent compared to the same month last year. Apparel exported during the month of March accounted for 12.3 percent of the overall exports made from the country during the month.
In 2013, Turkey exported apparel worth US$ 17.3 billion, indicating an increase of 8.3 percent compared to 2012, as per the data from the Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters Association (ITKIB).
